Job summary

Paycom - ATS in North Vernon, IN is seeking a Tool Maker (Bench) for full-time 2nd shift. Duties include assembling, inspecting, repairing, and building plastic injection molds, plus prototype work. Must follow instructions and maintain safety and cleanliness.

Candidates should have a High School diploma and at least 3 years of tool making experience; basic computer skills and blueprint literacy are preferred. No travel required. Regular weekends may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions for each mold.
• Complete paperwork for each mold (incoming/outgoing sheets).
• Troubleshoot tooling problems by reading blueprints and discussing with Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Assemble plastic injection molds.
• Clean plastic injection molds.
• Repair plastic injection molds.
• Build fixtures and assembly equipment according to prints.
• Provide instruction and guidance to apprentices.
• Maintain clean work area.

JOB DESCRIPTION (Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations)

Assembles, inspects, cleans, repairs, and reassembles plastic injection molds according to work instructions. Build new plastic injection molds and prototypes.

Essential Functions

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must be able to stand and walk for full shift. Able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to reach and stretch with arms and hands. Twisting and bending required. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close inspection identification of objects from a distance, color determination, peripheral detection, depth judgement, and the ability to identify details in varying conditions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Assigned work days are Monday thru Friday and scheduled hours are per scheduled shift. Weekends as needed.

Required Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred Experience

Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a tool maker.
