The Crowne Plaza Louisville, operated by AJS Hotels, is seeking a Bellperson to welcome guests and provide shuttle service to the airport and nearby areas within a three-mile radius. You will assist with front door duties, unloading baggage, and coordinating transportation as needed.

Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• H S Diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally 0-2 years of experience in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome arriving guests and assist with front door duties.
• Unload baggage from vehicles and assist with baggage handling.
• Provide shuttle service to airport and nearby areas within three miles.
• Summon transportation upon guest request and manage driveway traffic.
• Inform guests about hotel facilities and area attractions.
• Assist departing guests with baggage and transportation arrangements.

• Responsible for welcoming all arriving guest.
• Assists guests with front door and in unloading baggage from vehicles.
• Summons transportation upon guests request and controls traffic flow in front driveway.
• Coordinates baggage handling with bell persons.
• Provides information to the guests regarding hotel facilities and area attractions.
• Assist departing guests with all baggage and transportation arrangements including; driving guests to and from airport.
• All other duties as required.
• Strong organizational skills.

• 21 years of age or older
• Clean and valid driving license
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate time management abilities.

Work Environment

This job operates outside of the hotel in all elements of the weather. This role routinely operates the hotel shuttle service and should understand all road rules and regulations.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Requires finger dexterity to be able to operate shuttle, grasping, writing, standing, walking repetitive motion, hearing visual acuity, and may on occasion have to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with expectation to work during business needs. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, may be required to work flexible hours if needed.
