Job summary

The Salvation Army in Biloxi, MS seeks a Seasonal Full Time Bell Ringer to support the Red Kettle fundraising program. You will ring a small hand bell, greet passersby, and maintain the kettle area according to the location’s guidelines.

There are no formal education or experience requirements; you will work outdoors in varied weather, with a schedule Monday through Saturday 10am-6pm, and be part of a team dedicated to community support.

Job Details: Job Location: ALM-MS Gulf Coast Area Command - Biloxi, MS 39501, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Salary Range: $10.00 Hourly, Job Category: Christmas, Schedule/Hours: Monday-Saturday – 10am-6pm

This position is responsible for:

Participates in the work required to successfully complete the seasonal fund-raising program of The Salvation Army commonly referred to as Red Kettle program. Rings a small hand bell and is responsible for maintaining a red kettle location.

• Maintain kettle area according to the standards set in the orientation package and/or location manager directions
• Attend kettle workers meetings as scheduled.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to work assigned schedule which may vary due to the requirements of the job
• Able to stand on location for extended period of time
• Work requires being outdoors all day with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, etc.
