Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking seasonal bell ringers at the Winston-Salem location to support the Christmas program. Shifts run 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.

to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Roles are seasonal, with both full-time and part-time positions available from 11/9/26 to 12/24/26. Responsibilities include ringing bells, keeping the kettle attended, and greeting the public in a courteous and friendly manner, all while upholding the organization’s Christian principles.

Job Details: Job Location: NSC-Winston-Salem Area Command - WINSTON-SALEM, NC 27105, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Education Level: N/A, Salary Range: $9.00 - $9.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Christmas, Seasonal: Starting 11/9/26 to 12/24/26 Full time & Part time positions available 8 hour shifts Mon-Fri (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) Sat (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements
• Ability to stand in one location for extended periods in outside weather conditions with breaks and lunch periods as required by State law
• Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism
• Duties are performed standing and may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting or walking
• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of working time
