Job summary

A community-based organization in Lexington, MA is seeking part-time Behavior Therapists to provide individualized home-based ABA services. You'll work directly with clients, implementing behavior plans and collecting data to monitor progress. Preferred candidates will hold a high school diploma and have experience with developmental disabilities. This position offers flexible schedules, significant job training, and pay ranging from $19 to $27 per hour. Merrimack Autism Consultants is a privately owned organization founded in 2017 that offers individualized home-based services to clients on the autism spectrum. We are dedicated to providing family centered ABA services using evidenced-based Applied Behavioral Analysis methods, interventions and assessments. Behavior Therapist Position

Merrimack Autism Consultants is currently hiring part-time Behavior Therapists (BT) to provide 1:1 in-home ABA services. In‑home sessions are typically held between 2:30 pm and 8:30 pm, some morning/weekend sessions may be available. Applicants must be available to work an average minimum of 10‑19 hours per week. Rate of pay will commensurate based on level of education and years of experience.

Behavior Therapist Responsibilities
  • Work 1:1 directly with clients with autism using individualized ABA techniques created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Provide support and guidance for the parent/caregiver implementing the behavior plan tactics when the BT/BCBA are not in the home.
  • Collect data focused on skills and behaviors, conduct discrete trials daily to ensure the client's progress is monitored and objectives are met according to the individualized plan.
  • Communicate in a timely manner any concerns, progress, etc. to both the client's family and supervisor.
  • Complete the 40‑hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training, sit for and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • 18 years old or older and reliable, consistent transportation.
  • Pass a background check and be authorized to work within the U.S.
  • Make a 6‑month commitment to our clients.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children/adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities; driven to make a difference.
  • CPR certified (allow a 2‑week timeline after hire to obtain).
Not Required But Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Human Services, Education or Psychology; Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis or Social Psychology.
  • Registered Behavior Technician with an active BACB certification and/or at least 6 months working with children with autism.
  • Previous professional experience in the human services, developmental disabilities or education fields – teachers, paraprofessionals, day programs, group home caretakers.

Part‑time position. Salary varies on experience.
