Baystate Health in Palmer, MA is seeking a Part-time Behavioral Resource Technician to provide one-to-one patient observation and care during 7pm-7:30am shifts.Responsibilities include safety monitoring, reporting changes to the nurse, and maintaining a compassionate, professional environment for patients and families.

Prior behavioral health exposure is preferred; CPR/BLS is required with CPI training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant patient care experience required.
• 2 years' experience working with behavioral health patients preferred.
• CPR through American Heart Association BLS Provider required; CPI training within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety observation of the patient or patients assigned.
• Maintain a safe environment and interact with patient, family, and staff professionally.
• Provide patient care as assigned (bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, turning).
• Report changes in patient condition or behavior to the nurse immediately; document every 15 minutes during shift.
• Demonstrate competency for one-to-one observation per suicidality policy; stay awake and alert during observation.

## Behavioral Resource TechApplylocations: Palmer, Massachusettstime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R43558Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to **Baystate Wing Hospital** is looking for a **Behavioral Resource Technician (BRT)** to join our team in **Palmer****, MA**!**SCHEDULE:*** Part-time, 24 hours/week* 2nd shift, 12-hours shifts, 7pm-7:30am* Every other weekend and rotating holidays**LOCATION**:* Baystate Wing Hospital* Palmer, MA* On-Site Parking**JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES*** Provide safety observation of the patient or patients they are assigned to.* Maintain a safe environment and interact with the patient, family, and staff in a caring professional manner.* Provide care for the patient and may include bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, turning, and repositioning as assigned.* Reporting any changes in the patient’s condition or behavior to the nurse immediately and documenting every 15 minutes during their shift.* Demonstrates competency for one-to-one observation of patients based on the care of the suicidual patient policy.
