Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response team. The role is fully remote and will cover evening shifts from 3pm to 11pm in the Sentara Emergency Departments, focusing on behavioral/mental health assessments and treatment recommendations.

The position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field and licensure as LPC or LCSW.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field required.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient or inpatient experience preferred.
• Crisis experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation, as well as disposition needs, for each patient.
• Collaborate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
• Evaluate effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.

Overview:

This position will be a part of the Psychiatric Emergency Response team that assess patients in the Sentara Emergency Departments who present with behavioral/mental health concerns and will provide recommendations for treatment. This is a fully remote position. Will work evening shifts (3pm-11pm).

Education

Duties/Responsibilities

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $75,712.00 - $114,420.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
