Job summary

UPMC’s Western Behavioral Health Pediatric OCD team is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist I to join our specialized program for children and adolescents with OCD. You will deliver evidence-based treatments including ERP and I-CBT, conduct individual therapy, and lead engaging group sessions with families.

Ideal candidates have experience with OCD in youth, are comfortable leading family therapy, and are committed to high-quality, compassionate care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and adolescents with OCD.
• Proficient in ERP and I-CBT.
• Ability to lead group therapy sessions.
• Ability to involve families through family therapy.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Participates in QA, performance improvement and treatment team meetings.
• Completes timely clinical documentation and coordinates with insurance for authorizations.
• Conducts assessments and develops/updates treatment plans; adapts interventions as needed.
• Provides individual and group therapy and patient education; involves families when appropriate.
• Collaborates with clinical team to review cases and coordinate referrals.

UPMC’s Western Behavioral Health’s Pediatric OCD team is looking for aBehavioral Health Therapist I to join our team!

This role offers a unique opportunity to work within one of the region’s only specialty programs providing higher levels of care for individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). As a member of our team, you will deliver evidence-based treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), helping children, adolescents, and their families achieve meaningful progress. In addition to providing individual treatment, you will facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, collaborate with families through family therapy, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering specialized, compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has experience working with children and adolescents with OCD, is comfortable leading group and family therapy sessions, and is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health treatment.

• Conducts assessments, develops and updates treatment plans, and adapts interventions based on patient needs.
• Provides individual/group therapy and patient education; involves families when appropriate.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to review cases, address changes in condition, and coordinate referrals and continuum of care.
