Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an Associate Clinical Therapist to assess and treat individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders. The role involves individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and teaching skills for daily living across ages in a behavioral health setting.

You will work with a licensed professional, performing psychosocial assessments, creating treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patients and families

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• Must hold one of the state licenses listed (WV, OH, MD, PA) as applicable.
• License requirements align with state board regulations for services.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems.
• Create a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing clinical social work treatments and interventions.
• Screen, identify, diagnose, and assist in treatment of mental health and/or substance abuse problems.
• Provide education to patients and families around adaptation to diagnosis, illness, treatment and/or life situation.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary health care teams and liaison with community resources.
• Document assessments, plans, and interactions per guidelines and standards.
