Job summary

Family Health Care in Cadillac, MI is seeking a Clinic-Based Behavioral Health Therapist for our outpatient team. You will provide behavioral health counseling to individuals with substance use and mental health needs, applying evidence-based practices in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family, or counseling and full licensure in Michigan. CAADC development is a plus, with supervision available in-house for LLPC/LLMSW.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited program in social work, psychology, marriage and family, and/or counseling.
• Fully licensed in Michigan to provide behavioral health counseling (LMSW, LPC, LMFT or LLP).
• Limited licensed individuals may be considered with director approval, but not for hybrid work due to supervision requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge in behavioral health assessment and treatment of substance use disorder, mental health, and co-occurring disorders with an emphasis on evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health counseling in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Apply evidence-based practices to treat substance use and mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement treatment.
• Receive in-house supervision for LLPC/LLMSW as applicable.

What’s required:

Master’s degree from a social work, psychology, marriage and family and/or counseling accredited program. Fully licensed in the state of Michigan to provide behavioral health counseling that may be a LMSW, LPC, LMFT or LLP. Limited licensed individuals may be considered, with director approval, however not for hybrid work options due to supervision requirements.

Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in behavioral health assessment and treatment of substance use disorder, mental health, and co-occurring disorder interventions and applications with a focus on evidence-based practices.

Preferred work experience of one to three years in behavioral health or substance use setting. CAADC or ability to apply for CAADC development plan once hired a plus.
