Job summary

Iowa Primary Care Association, Inc. is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist to provide care at our community health centers in Ames and Marshalltown, IA, with some telehealth visits. LISW, LMHC, or LMFT licensure encouraged to apply.

The role splits time between both clinics and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend commitments. Competitive salary based on experience, relocation options available, and opportunities for loan repayment and continuing education are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice independently in Iowa (LISW/LMHC/LMFT).
• BLS, ACLS or ATLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of behavioral health experience preferred.
• Bilingual English & Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health therapy to patients at FQHCs in Ames & Marshalltown.
• Coordinate and oversee patient care across both clinic locations; telehealth optional.
• Collaborate with clinic teams; document care in Epic EHR.
• Support loan repayment options and participate in ongoing professional development.

The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist to provide care at a vibrant community health center (FQHC) and oversee patients in Ames & Marshalltown, IA! This position would split time between both clinic locations with the option of some telehealth visits. LISW, LMHC, & LMFT encourage to apply!

Position Highlights

• Work/Life Balance: flexible schedule of Monday - Friday 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm with no weekends or call
• Full-Time Role: 40 hours/week seeing on average 6 patients per day

Requirements

• Graduation from accredited master's social work, counseling, marriage/family therapy and/or behavioral health education program.
• Licensed as behavioral health professional to practice independently in Iowa (LISW, LMFT, or LMHC)
• BLS, ACLS or ATLS certification required.
