Job summary

Beyond Addiction is a detox and residential substance abuse treatment center that operates as an all-women recovery facility. A Clinical Assistant provides emotional support, ensures clients take medications, and relays activity to the Primary Counselor or Clinical Supervisor.

The role includes supervising clients, enforcing program rules, coordinating with healthcare staff, and facilitating group and individual therapy participation as part of a compassionate treatment team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in drug and alcohol treatment is preferred.
• Job-specific training is required prior to start date.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all clients and ensures compliance with program rules.
• Ensures clients take proper medications and reports to the Primary Counselor or Clinical Supervisor.
• Submits reports to the unit manager or clinical director and assists in resolving disputes.
• Assists in access to medications and supplements for clients and ensures attendance at therapy sessions.
• Identifies signs of potential harm to self or others and addresses them accordingly.
• Engages clients in conversation, encourages socializing, and provides emotional support.
• Consults with physicians, nurses, dietitians, and therapists to ensure quality care.
