Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct care during overnight hours in a residential recovery setting. You will monitor clients, respond to needs, and collaborate with the treatment team to promote safety, dignity, and recovery.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma and at least two years of related employment, with strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of responsible employment required.
  • Experience in Human Services, Behavioral Health, Recovery Services, or related field preferred.
  • Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor clients overnight to maintain a safe, recovery-focused environment.
  • Support clients with overnight needs, providing respectful, therapeutic interactions.
  • Observe client behaviors and progress; communicate observations to the treatment team.
  • Respond to emergencies and crises per procedures; conduct room, safety, and wellness checks.
  • Assist with overnight admissions, intake, vital signs, and specimen collection as applicable.
  • Document client activities, observations, and interventions accurately and timely.
  • Maintain compliance with program rules and safety procedures; collaborate with nursing staff.
  • Provide transportation support as required; communicate updates to staff for continuity of care.
