Midwest Center-Youngstown is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our team and support individuals on their recovery journey in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

This role offers an opportunity to begin or grow a career in behavioral health and addiction treatment, with responsibilities ranging from admissions to crisis intervention and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDCA required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client admissions, orientations, and transportation needs.
• Monitor client activities and maintain a safe treatment environment.
• Observe and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or behavioral condition.
• Conduct routine client accountability checks and monitor family visits.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary.
• Complete shift reports, documentation, and daily checklists.
• Support medical and clinical staff as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
