Second-level Behavioral Health professional work in assessing, identifying, and treating mental health/behavioral concerns. Individuals in this classification provide direct services to individuals, including psychoeducation, individual therapy/supportive counseling, group therapy, assistance with treatment plan development, and behavior support services. Individuals in this classification provide services while under the direct supervision of an appropriately licensed/certified Behavioral Health professional, including the administration of screening assessments of behavioral and emotional functioning, intelligence, achievement, and adaptive functioning.
Successful candidates must have a good attitude, be ready and willing to learn and grow, have strong attention to detail, strong communication skills, and excellent organizational skills.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field (social work/services, education, criminal justice, etc.) and 2-4 years of experience.AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals impacted by substance use and co-occurring behavioral health needs. This position requires experience facilitating psychoeducational groups. The individual will also assist in transporting patients to community-based programs such as AA meetings and assist with activities of daily living. Evening work is required for community AA meetings.
