Responsibilities

• Adheres to professional standards and policies; follows regulatory requirements.
• Applies supportive behavior to manage difficult patient behavior using de-escalation and therapeutic interventions.
• Inventories patient belongings and secures contraband; conducts unit safety checks.
• Documents vital signs, weights, ADLs, intake/output; monitors nutrition and dietary restrictions.
• Performs patient care activities under nursing supervision; communicates findings to the nurse.
• Records patient observations and departures accurately and promptly in the patient record.
• Communicates care updates and follows up on patient needs with nursing staff.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
