Job summary

Freeman is seeking a PRN Days position to support nursing staff and patient care in an inpatient psychiatry setting. The role emphasizes safety, observation, and collaboration with licensed staff to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include precepting MHW I staff, monitoring patient mood and behavior, and timely reporting to the supervising nurse. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in inpatient psychiatry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of inpatient psychiatry or equivalent experience.
• Ability to uphold safety and patient-care standards.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Community Cares Standards and ensure patient safety.

• Observe mood and behavior changes and report observations to the assigned nurse.

What You'll Do

Provides support to the nursing staff and patient care through the direction and guidance of licensed staff and leaders. Responsible for upholding Community Cares Standards. Responsible for ensuring patient safety. Precept MHW I employees. Observe verbal and non-verbal communication, monitor change in mood and behavior. Report observations to the assigned nurse.

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• One year of experience in inpatient psychiatry or an equitable treatment setting.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelors degree in psychology or related field
• Safe crisis management training
• Current patient care assistant or certified nurse assistant certification, HWC Verbal and Physical De-escalation
