Job summary

Pathways is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to deliver one-to-one behavioral health services for children and adolescents aged 2–24 in home or school settings. You will adhere to treatment plans, apply interventions, and set boundaries to prevent dependency while educating families to sustain progress.

Must have BCaBA/RBT/BCAT or equivalent, high school diploma with 40-hour RBT training (or ability to complete within 10 days), and at least 2 years of relevant experience; position offers

Qualifications

• Certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT required.
• Two years’ prior Behavior Health certification or certification from an organization accredited by NCCA/ANSI.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 40hr RBT Training (or willing to complete within 10 days of hire).
• Minimum of 2 years experience delivering Behavioral Health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavioral health services to children and adolescents aged 2–24.
• Follow prescribed treatment plans and implement behavioral interventions.
• Set and maintain boundaries with clients and families to prevent dependency.
• Educate and train parents/adults to use skills; provide culturally competent services.

About your Role:

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-24, who are confronted with serious, identified, emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. With the support and guidance of the Behavioral Consultant, you will aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels which require less or no service intervention. You will travel to the clients' home/school/service location daily being sure to follow the prescribed treatment plan and provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client. Setting boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency upon your services as you also provide support to parents and adult professionals. Being sure to educate and train parents/young adults to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement and provide culturally aware and competent service provision

• Certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
• 2 years’ prior Behavior Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
• High School diploma or equivalent and completed the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List) Certification (or ability to complete this within the first 10 days of hire- you will be paid for this training time)
• Minimum of 2 years-experience providing Behavioral Health services
