Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Mental Health Tech to join the treatment team and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. You will participate in rounds, monitor suicide risk, and assist with behavior modification programs to support multi-faceted wellness.

You will take vital signs, document findings for the RN, and help maintain client charts and CAP-based progress notes to ensure quality treatment and safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Function as a member of the treatment team with assigned duties such as patient observation rounds and suicide risk observation.
• Assist with behavior modification programs and provide protection and control for patient safety.
• Take vital signs, record them accurately, and report variations to RN.
• Participate in rounding and respond to patient needs to improve outcomes and experience.
• Assist in maintenance of client charts and CAP-based progress notes.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Mental Health Tech at our facility you will be joining a team that has a passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve. In this role:

• You will function as a member of the treatment team and accept responsibilities for specifically assigned duties, such as patient observation rounds, suicide risk observation, and assisting with behavior modification programs.
• You will provide protection and control to ensure patient safety, including maintaining an ongoing awareness of patient’s whereabouts, escorting patients to activities and other procedures and participating in restraining combative patients as needed.
• You will take vital signs and accurately record them and report to RN if variations from normal are found.
• You will participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and overall patient experience.
• You will assist in the maintenance of client charts, including clinical assessment process (CAP) and behavior based, specific measurable progress notes to ensure quality treatment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
