Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Crisis assessment, monitoring, and client care by a multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor milieu and perform routine checks; observe safety risks.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living and support care initiatives.

  • Facilitate therapeutic groups to develop skills and prepare for discharge.
  • Assist with admission and discharge of clients.
  • Participate in crisis de-escalation when needed.
  • Document interventions and maintain records per regulatory guidelines.
  • Follow awake position requirements.

Behavioral Health Technician - AllHealth Network

Our Acute Care Campus (ACC) is a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment where dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians play a vital role in ensuring safety, stability, and recovery for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary care team to provide direct support, monitoring, and crisis intervention while fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes dignity, recovery, and wellness.

What You’ll Do
  • Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to provide crisis assessment, monitoring, and client care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of medical or clinical care errors.
  • Monitor the clinical milieu, including accountability for completion of routine 15‑minute, 30‑minute, and line‑of‑sight checks. Initiate regular interactions with clients to observe mental status and safety risk on the unit.
  • Assist clients in activities of daily living and lead supportive care initiatives.
  • Provide daily interactions that help clients achieve optimal wellness aligned with treatment goals.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and activities to help clients develop problem‑solving skills, reduce crisis response, meet goals, and prepare for discharge to the community.
  • Assist with admission and discharge of clients.
  • Participate in crisis management, including de‑escalation when a person is in crisis or at risk of escalating on the unit.
  • Ensure timely documentation of all interventions and write all clinical and administrative documentation according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Follow all “awake position” requirements.
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Some college coursework in Human Services, Nursing Assistant Certification, and/or prior experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with individuals in an acute care setting and their support systems (families, significant others, caretakers).
  • Ability to assess and intervene in a high‑intensity, crisis environment.
  • Ability to document according to guidelines in the Electronic Health Record.
  • Teamwork skills.

Compensation

$20 – $23

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the AllHealth Network hiring salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on experience, education, training, merit, and the ability to embody the AllHealth Network mission and values. The range listed is one component of AllHealth Network’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include short‑term and long‑term incentives as well as a generous benefits package detailed below.
