Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Sunset Corners, FL seeks a part-time Care Assistant for the Psychiatry department. The role covers a partial year from September to June, with time off June to September. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, support treatment plans, and ensure a safe therapeutic milieu under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• CPI training completed before orientation in Psychiatry and active throughout employment
• BLS certification active throughout employment
• Background check and affidavit of good moral character required
• First year includes orientation hours plus 12 hours of in-service training

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care
• Document observations, incidents, I&O, and care reports for RN review
• Communicate patient behavior and condition changes to RN
• Conduct group sessions with a preset agenda and safety reassessment
• Provide de-escalation techniques and therapeutic interaction
• Greet patients and families and provide information about services
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and staff
