DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a CNA for the Nights shift in Behavioral Health. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and help maintain patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and participating in CQI activities to improve patient care. Previous hospital experience is preferred; CPI training must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPI training must be completed within 30 days of hire date.
• Current CNA certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in daily service.
• Conducts a full client inventory in the Intake area.
• Gives report to the nurse and tech when picking up a client.
• Does not leave the client unattended at any time.
• Identify contraband and dispose of it properly.
• Coordinate with nurse and family to send home medications.
• Orient patient and family to BHR processes and units.
• Record vital signs and nursing assessments; assist with ADLs.
