Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist (full-time, day shift, 7am–7:30pm, every other weekend) in King of Prussia, PA. The role focuses on safety, patient care, and seamless documentation in the EHR while coordinating with the clinical team to support adults and youth in crisis.

Responsibilities include triage, vital signs, BAL and drug screens, visitor management, and coordination with the 302 process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with related social science credits or mental health experience.
• 12 college credits in Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Gerontology, or related field plus 2 years of mental health care experience.
• Alternatively, 3 years direct mental health care experience in public or private settings.
• Consumer/family advocate experience acceptable with 1 year advocacy/leadership.
• Must document services in EHR and maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Registration and documentation of services in the EHR.
• Greet visitors and manage security and logs.
• Document vital signs, BAL, urine drug screens, pregnancy tests; report results.
• Perform safety monitoring and inventory patient property.
• Assist with discharge property and 302 process coordination.
• Attend court hearings when subpoenaed and provide testimony as needed.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and report safety issues.
• Collaborate with clinical team on patient concerns.
