Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for Baptist Adult Behavioral Health on a PRN Nights basis in Pensacola, FL. The RN will provide direct patient care, education, and support within a recovery-oriented model, adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.

The role requires active Florida RN licensure (or eligibility via compact state), BLS, CPI, and UKERU certification within 90 days, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required or Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Registered Nurse licensure in Florida or eligible compact state upon hire required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) required
• CPI within 90 days required
• UKERU Certification within 90 days required
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing and clinical skills

Responsibilities

• Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Develops and communicates a realistic plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluates problems and reassesses patient responses to ensure quality care.
• Implements medical plan of care and nursing interventions; analyzes problems and determines actions.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for the health care team.
• Maintains current knowledge, certifications, and licensure; pursues professional growth.
