Job summary

Everwell Port St. Lucie Hospital, Inc seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its behavioral health team. The RN provides direct patient care, supervises nursing staff, supports crisis intervention, and contributes to treatment and recovery planning.

Responsibilities include medication administration, emergency response, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license required.
• Current CPR and CPI Certifications required.
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care for behavioral health patients.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies.
• Supervise LPNs, Mental Health Technicians, and support staff.
• Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Educate patients regarding medications, wellness, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and medical records.
• Support patient safety, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient assessments.
