UNC Health Johnston is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide competent clinical nursing care in the Behavioral Health unit. You will report to the Nurse Manager/Director and coordinate patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

The role emphasizes education, assessment, planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge planning and high-quality care for patients in crisis and inpatient units.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education - participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patient/family.
• Evaluation of Care - participates in evaluation of patient care with interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - provides care for patients with complex problems using standards and policies.
