Job summary

CenterPointe Hospital, part of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week temporary assignment with a fixed rate of $65 per hour in the evenings or nights. The position is not benefits-eligible and may convert to a regular full-time role with a sign-on bonus up to $12,000 if converted after the assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license for the state.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Provide nursing care and services within nursing practice standards and policies.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Monitor patient status and document changes promptly.
• Provide direction to unit staff and communicate professionally with patients and colleagues.
