Job summary

The Ness Center in Louisiana is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time, non-exempt position. The role provides general and psychiatric nursing care to patients, working as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to ensure patient safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include assessments, admissions/discharges, medication education, incident reporting, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN licensure in Louisiana.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• CPI certification or completed company-provided training during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Conducts nursing assessments and documents outcomes.
• Attends to medical complaints promptly and responsively.
• Processes admissions and discharges.
• Oversees seclusion & restraint episodes with required orders and assessments.
• Provides health education, including medication information, to patients and families.
• Maintains accurate incident reports and communicates with shift and medical teams.
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and safety goals and NBHS policies.
