Job summary

Harboroaks seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and educate patients and families about conditions.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, a current RN license, CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification, and at least one year of nursing experience; psychiatric or behavioral health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license as required by state.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral health a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state/facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families.
• Provide nursing care within state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
• Ensure physicians' orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Assess patient status ongoing and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status or emergencies.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic rapport.
• Coordinate unit activities as directed and communicate professionally.
