Job summary

Thrive Behavioral Hospital in Spring Valley, NV seeks a Full-Time Resource Nurse to provide in-patient care for adolescents and adults in psychiatric care. This role acts as a flexible nursing resource across units, assisting with admissions, assessments, crisis intervention, staffing, staff education, and clinical problem-solving.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers, coach staff, uphold HIPAA and safety standards, and participate in shift reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Current unencumbered RN license by NV State Board.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers current.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in psychiatric/behavioral health or acute care.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing staff education, real-time coaching on nursing practice and patient safety.
• Assist with admissions, patient assessments, and crisis intervention.
• Mentor nursing staff and support interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Monitor compliance with policies, documentation, and HIPAA.
• Support unit operations, staffing, and shift reports.
• Administer medications and monitor patient care.
