Job summary

Valley Vista is seeking a Recovery Specialist to implement program guidelines and ensure patient safety within a therapeutic milieu on the unit. You will document patient activity, review notes daily, and report risks to senior staff to support treatment planning.

Responsibilities include observing patient behavior, participating in shift meetings, assisting nursing with medications, supervising meals, transporting patients to appointments, and taking part in trainings as directed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates knowledge of proper boundaries with patients; strong time management and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains professional interpersonal relationships with patients on the unit.
• Reviews notes and documentation daily to support treatment planning and service delivery.
• Documents patient activity as required by Valley Vista and regulatory agencies.
• Observes patient behavior, records observations, and reports at-risk behaviors to senior staff.
• Participates in shift meetings and communicates patient concerns to the Director as appropriate.
• Assists Nursing staff with medication administration and meal supervision.
• Safely transports patients to scheduled outside appointments using company vehicles when directed.
