Job summary

America's Community Council in Detroit is seeking a Behavioral Health Quality Assurance Analyst to evaluate and improve the delivery of behavioral health services. You will monitor documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead quality improvement initiatives across programs.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, a professional license, and experience in behavioral health QA. Strong data skills and familiarity with CARF/Medicaid standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, public health, or a related field.
• Professional license required.
• Minimum two years of experience in quality assurance or performance improvement in behavioral health.
• Comprehensive understanding of managed care and quality procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to collect, interpret, and present data.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., CPHQ) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation and maintenance of organizational Quality Improvement activities.
• Facilitate development and implementation of clinical record documentation monitoring systems for compliance.
• Generate reports on clinician documentation performance.
• Conduct Quality Assurance meetings and review/report processes.
• Provide direct supervision to clinical staff at various locations as needed.
• Collect Quality and Utilization related data.
• Provide technical assistance on documentation, requests, maintenance, and security.
• Monitor and report risks to patient and staff safety; investigate incidents.
• Provide training and support on QA principles, processes, and tools.
• Coordinate audit/prep and respond to accreditation/licensing reviews.
• Conduct Quality Improvement seminars and in-service training.
• Develop and maintain data to assist in grant writing.
• Advise on interpretation of CARF standards, Medicaid, and state regs and coordinate accreditation activities.
• Assist programs in integrating Evidenced Based Practices and assess new interventions for effectiveness.
• Provide orientation and ongoing QA training to staff about external standards for documentation.
