Job summary

Oregon State University’s Division of Extension and Engagement is seeking a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator for the Health Extension program. This full-time, 12-month professional faculty role leads mental and behavioral health initiatives across Oregon and collaborates with COH, Extension faculty, staff, and community partners to meet program goals.

The role focuses on leadership, capacity building, and delivering health education across the state, with an emphasis on reducing disparities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, education or related field is required.
• Leadership experience in a professional setting is required.
• Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of mental and behavioral health programs.
• Share COH expertise with Health Extension peers statewide and provide training to partners.
• Collaborate with Extension faculty, staff, students and community agencies to advance program objectives.
• Plan and organize community-based activities to maximize impact and funding opportunities.
• Prepare analyses and data for needs assessment and program evaluation; monitor performance with Health Extension team.
• Develop annual plans and report reach and effectiveness of programming efforts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, education or related field

Leadership experience in a professional setting

Work ethic, professionalism

Understanding of higher education and community partnerships

Promoting mental health or preventing substance use in communities

Data analysis and evaluation skills

Decision-making and deadline management

Customer service orientation
