Qualifications

• Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to independently practice as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor.
• Citizenship requirement: U.S. citizenship; non-citizens only when permitted by VA policy.
• English language proficiency in speaking and writing as per VA standards.
• At least one year of progressively complex experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Direct BHIP teams of social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals.
• Develop program goals, workflows, and ensure services meet accreditation and national initiatives.
• Provide senior leadership in administration for complex behavioral health programs across sites.
• Represent BHIP in operational planning with Mental Health leadership and cross-service collaboration.
• Ensure clinical services are organized, efficient, and aligned with VA standards.
