Job summary

Intandem in New York, NY is seeking a Behavioral Health Professional to assist adults with behavioral health needs in the community, helping them develop independent living and self-help skills through ongoing instruction and modeling.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience or certification in an Evidence Based Practice. A NYS driver's license and flexibility for weekend hours are essential.

JOB TITLE: Behavioral Health Professional

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health Services

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Behavioral Health Services Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: Behavioral Health Professional assist adults with behavioral health concerns, living in the community, develop independent living skills and self-help skills by providing ongoing instruction/training, guidance, and modeling.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Training & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in human services or related field.
• Two (2) years experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances: OR certified in an Evidence Based Practice.

Preferred Education, Training & Experience

• Knowledge of community crisis resources and response services
• Experience in collaboration within a community System of Care
• Experience supporting individuals in education and employment

Essential Skills And Abilities

• Valid New York State drivers license that meets the Agency's driving policy and dependable transportation
• Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (i.e. word-processing, e-mail)
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, sensitivity and respect to children and families including regarding cultural/value/lifestyle differences
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and effective communication

Salary

$20.80 per hour starting rate
