Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Health Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota, seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join the ND Department of Health & Human Services. You will support a high-quality healthcare system by applying ND and Federal laws, and working under a North Dakota State Hospital Pharmacist.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and an active Pharmacy Technician license. A valid driver's license and completion of the defensive driving course during new-hire orientation are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license and successful completion of the defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmacy operations in accordance with ND and Federal legislation, North Dakota board requirements, and DHS state policies under the direction of a North Dakota State Hospital Pharmacist.
• Count, measure, reconstitute, package, and label medications for individual or stock use.
• Enter, record, and follow prescriber orders in accordance with HSC policies and ND State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Complete weekly controlled substance medication counts and reconciliation.
• Ensure stock/IPP medications are acquired, inventoried, and within current expiration parameters.
• Fill and double-check each medication box per policy parameters.
• Destroy expired or recalled items per policy.
• Receive and ensure medications are stored and handled properly.
• Manage the medication administration record.
• Coordinate with director of nursing to identify necessary pharmacy supplies and inspections.
