Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is seeking a registered nurse to deliver comprehensive care for diverse client populations in the Brooklyn Heights area and surrounding service region. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to address behavioral health needs and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include health screenings, medication management, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably experience with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Address behavioral and physical health needs of clients with psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Coordinate case management with community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
