Job summary

Snoqualmie Valley Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner to deliver patient-centered psychiatric and behavioral healthcare. The NP will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, provide medication management, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, WA NP license with prescriptive authority, DEA, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Preferred Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or other doctoral-level education.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Washington; prescriptive authority; DEA; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families through respectful, compassionate communication.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment recommendations, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
• Provide medication management and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain complete and timely documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with standards.
• Assess patients for suicide risk, safety concerns, and other behavioral health emergencies, taking appropriate action.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes and the overall patient experience.
