Job summary

Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a PRN Music Therapist to join our Behavioral Health Department. You will lead therapeutic music and activity-based interventions across behavioral health units and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients' emotional and physical well-being.

This role involves developing experiential programming, documenting patient progress, and coordinating schedules for therapy activities.

Qualifications

• BC-MT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year music therapist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead therapeutic music and activity-based interventions with patients within the behavioral health units.
• Develop experiential programming with the multidisciplinary team to support emotional, physical, and social well-being.
• Facilitate programming including recreation, wellness, outdoors, gardening, daily living skills, arts and crafts.
• Identify needs and develop relevant therapeutic programs addressing those needs.
• Establish therapeutic relationships and document patient participation and progress.
• Plan schedules and collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members.
• Engage in ongoing training to provide engaging and innovative activities.
