Job summary

LifeStance Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Behavioral Health Medical Scheduler to manage inbound and outbound calls, gather insurance information, and verify coverage for potential clients. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years of medical scheduling experience, proficiency with EHRs and MS Office, and strong English communication; Spanish is a plus.

This is a hybrid/remote position with usual hours 8am-5pm PST.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of records in line with HIPAA requirements.
• Assess high risk/high acuity needs and hand-off to a Behavioral Health Professional.
• Maintain client-related paperwork including billing, BH screeners, notes and forms.
• Provide exceptional customer service and route calls appropriately.
• Daily outbound calls to potential clients and engage with payors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Behavioral Health Medical Scheduler is responsible for taking inbound calls and making outbound calls to potential clients placed on a Clinic’s worklist/waitlist to gather additional critical information and start the insurance verification process. They offer practical assistance to potential clients, such as providing additional information to them, gathering insurance information and verifying insurance with various health plans. They must be able to work independently, but also function as a team member, providing high quality services to our clients. Employees of LifeStance Health must value close collaboration with internal staff, clients, payors, and other stakeholders.

Hours: Between the hours of operation of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST Monday - Friday

Position Type: Hybrid/remote.

Training required on-site at 2850 N Country Club Rd, Tucson, AZ 85716

Compensation: $19 - 20/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintaining confidentiality of records aligning with HIPAA requirements Assess for high risk/high acuity needs and collaborates a warm hand-off to a Behavioral Health Professional Maintain client-related paperwork (billing, BH screeners, progress notes, contact notes, and other required forms) Exceptional Customer Service Answering and routing calls as appropriate Daily outbound calls to potential clients Engage with multiple payors and their interfaces Additional responsibilities as appropriate

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 3-years of experience with Medical Scheduling highly preferred Strong computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email. Prior experience working with Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs), preferred. Clear understanding of insurance-related terminology. Fluency in English is required; fluency in Spanish preferred. Quiet, distraction free, dedicated HIPAA compliant workspace in your remote office with high-speed hard-wired internet access. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills Knowledge of integrated healthcare delivery models (preferred)
