Job summary

Good Neighbor Community Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under a nurse or provider. You will prepare examination rooms, assist with patient flow, and handle clerical tasks such as appointments and referrals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider by facilitating patient flow and information through the visit.
• Review daily schedule and prepare the EHR.
• Greet and escort patient to exam room professionally.
• Obtain visit purpose and vital signs; document in EHR.
• Notify provider of abnormal readings or deviations.
• Perform routine procedures per orders (EKG, PPD, etc.).
• Administer immunizations under supervision with Medication Aide license.
• Prepare rooms and clean after patient visits.
• Assist with scheduling follow-up procedures or referrals.
• Maintain patient care equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
