Job summary

Oceans Healthcare's Cottonwood Creek Behavioral Hospital is seeking an LVN/LPN to provide nursing care within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. You will document assessments, administer medications, and support patients with daily activities in a high-stress, compassionate environment.

The role requires an active LVN/LPN license, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR certification. Prior inpatient experience and de-escalation training are preferred to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active LVN/LPN license in the state of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.
• CPR certification and Oceans approved behavioral health de-escalation program are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to assigned patients following the multidisciplinary treatment plan.
• Document all findings in patient records and communicate assessment data to the care team.
• Administer medications and ensure safe medication practices per physician orders.
• Perform bedside labs, wound care, and assistance with ADLs; support patient comfort.
• Provide patient education and support culturally competent care; act as a preceptor to new staff.
