Armor Health is seeking a Master’s level Intern Behavioral Health Professional to join our team in Georgia. The role involves working under supervision to deliver psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and case management for individuals in a jail setting, as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field and CPR certification. Applicants may be pursuing an MSW or hold an active MSW license and must pass pre-employment

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Current state Mental Health Registered Professional license, or currently pursuing master’s degree.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and preliminary diagnostic impression, counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to patients in a jail setting as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
• Collect information through interview, case history, psychological tests, and observation.
• Evaluate data to identify causes of problems and determine therapeutic approach or referral.
• Provide crisis management counseling and short-term therapy as appropriate.
• Prepare treatment and follow-up care programs.
• Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate interventions.
• Consult with other behavioral health practitioners and staff as needed.
