Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a Behavioral Health faculty member for the Family Medicine Residency Program. The role combines curricular design, residency administration and direct clinical care in mental health.

Qualified candidates will hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or in Marriage and Family Therapy, and be a Licensed Mental Health Therapist or LCSW with residency experience.

We are seeking our next Behavioral Health faculty member to join our Family Medicine Residency Program in Winter Haven, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for curricular design, implementation and resident education in the areas of human behavior, psychiatry and ethics.
• Performs residency program administration activities, including resident recruitment, evaluation, advancement and other administration activities as assigned by the residency Program Director.
• Clinical work involves providing comprehensive mental healthcare to behavioral health patients to extend the services of physicians by providing assessment and medical management of patient care.
• Reviews protocols with other mental health providers at assigned site(s) and provides consultative services for patients, residents and faculty. Performs delegated tasks associated with protocol development, lifecycle project management and subsequent publication in support of a portfolio of assigned physicians and faculty.
• Provides didactic training for residents.

Experience

• Required
• 5 years of practice as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 2 years experience with residency programs
