Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Direct Care Technician for the Facility Based Crisis Center in Washington, NC. This full-time, on-site role offers evening hours (4pm–12am) and every other weekend, with a pay of $16.82 per hour.

You will work to maintain a safe, supportive environment, assist with activities, and coordinate with treatment teams to support clients in reaching their goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while providing client support, encouragement, and motivation.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups, therapeutic activities, and leisure/recreational programming.
• Transport clients to program activities and appointments as needed.
• Assist with admissions, referrals, documentation, and coordination with community agencies and treatment teams.
• Support discharge planning, aftercare arrangements, and housing resources.
• Administer medications (when certified), monitor vital signs, respond to emergencies, and maintain accurate client records.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while providing client support, encouragement, and motivation.

What You'll Bring

• Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Peer support certification or CNA certification a plus, but is not required
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work with no restrictions.
