Job summary

Cornerstone Family Healthcare in Chenango, NY is actively recruiting a Behavioral Health Counselor to join our growing Behavioral Health team. The role provides diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy for patients facing mental health and substance use challenges.

You will collaborate with clinicians across the organization, document thoroughly, participate in on-call rotations, and help expand access to behavioral health care in the Chenango area.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in relevant field.
• Active NYS license required (LMSW/LCSW/LMHC).
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic evaluations and psycho-social assessments.
• Deliver individual and group psychotherapy for diverse caseloads.
• Collaborate with patients, families and programs to build treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in patient charts.
• Rotate in a virtual on-call schedule with other counselors.
• Cover late shifts weekly as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
