Georgia Pines Community Service Board in South Georgia is seeking a licensed addiction counselor to join the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The role emphasizes prevention, behavior modification, and counseling individuals and groups to promote mental health, family wellness, and coping with addictions.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field, have two years of experience, and CAC or CADC certification (or be registered to take the exam).

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of experience as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselor's Association (GACA).
• Position requires CAC or CADC certification; will accept if registered to take exam.

Responsabilidades

• Counsel individuals and groups to promote mental health and address addictions and related challenges.
• Schedule consumers for testing, assemble test materials and administer tests.
• Develop and implement behavior management and skills acquisition plans; 80% of services provided in the client’s home.
