Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician to interview consumers, deliver crisis intervention counseling, and perform on-site crisis assessments. The clinician will develop least restrictive treatment plans, refer to resources, and respond to a 24-hour hotline.

Shifts include 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a, including weekends. This full-time benefited role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with relevant crisis intervention experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and one year of experience in mental health crisis intervention.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services plus two years of experience in mental health crisis intervention.
• Driver’s license in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Interview consumers to assess needs and provide crisis intervention counseling.
• Provide stabilization and on-site crisis assessments.
• Develop least restrictive treatment plans and coordinate referrals to services.
• Answer a 24-hour crisis hotline and link consumers to resources.
• May perform additional duties as requested by Director/Supervisor.

Job description

The Behavioral Health Clinician interviews consumers, provides crisis intervention counseling and stabilization, completes on-site crisis assessments, develops least restrictive treatment plans, refers and links consumers to appropriate / available resources and answers a 24-hour hotline. Required to report to work in inclement weather. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary, including interpretation of assessments and other data, to provide the appropriate care, including age-related, needed by consumers served. The individual demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the consumer population served.
