Job Details: General Notes Dell Medical School is seeking a Behavioral Health Care Coordinator Team Lead. This is a grant funded position with an end date of 8/31/2027 that is renewable for another year based upon work performance and progress toward research goals. Purpose This role supports mental health programs and initiatives developed through the Texas Child Mental Health (TCMH) Care Consortium, as well as programs through the Behavioral Health Service Line at Dell Children’s Medical Center and Ascension Medical Group, with a focus on improving the quality and accessibility of mental health care for children and adolescents across Texas. The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator Team Lead plays a vital role in supporting children and families through both Dell Children’s Behavioral Health programs and TCMH programs like the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT), a statewide initiative that partners with school districts to provide telemedicine and telehealth services aimed at identifying and assessing the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents, and connecting them to appropriate mental health resources. Reporting to the Behavioral Health Support Supervisor, this role leads mental health care coordination-and collaborates with clinical operations support staff. This position helps children and families navigate through the TCHATT program (or other TCMH programs), assists in connecting to providers in the community for long-term care if needed, and maintains confidentiality of information in all aspects of care. The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator Team Lead provides operational leadership by overseeing the work of other coordinators and guiding projects and workflows.
