Turning Point of Tampa is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to provide overnight support to clients facing addiction and mental health challenges in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on daily living, social skills, and emotional regulation within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include crisis management, client safety, and participating in therapeutic activities, with meticulous record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in psychology or social work preferred.
• Ability to work Thursday–Saturday from 9:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m., including holidays as scheduled.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience working in a mental health/behavioral health environment preferred.
• Experience with the 12‑Step program required.

• Provide one-on-one support to clients, focusing on daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation.
• Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management while ensuring client safety.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (therapists, psychiatrists, nurses) to implement treatment plans.
• Participate in recreation therapy, educational programs, and community outings to promote engagement.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and services.

Available Full-Time Schedule:

• Thursday–Saturday, 9:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m.
• An additional $2.00 per hour shift differential is paid for all overnight hours worked

• Provide one-on-one support to clients, focusing on daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation
• Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management while ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses, to implement individualized treatment plans
• Participate in activities such as recreation therapy, educational programs, and community outings to promote client engagement and socialization
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and services provided
